To Clarify About the Hetalia MMD Drama... Last updated: 12/3/2013
Okay, so in the light of the recent MMD drama there's been a lot of confusion about the rules of the Hetalia models. This is my attempt to clear this up, mainly for the sake of everyone in my groups, :iconMikuMikuTalia:, :iconHetalia-MMD-Users: and :iconMMD-Crusaders:. Feel free to post it in any other group where it would be appreciated.
The last few months have been a very confusing time for everyone. I can't wave a magic wand and clear it up, because I'm just another English-speaking MMD user who doesn't know a word of Japanese and who was just as confused as you. However, I do appreciate the rights of the wonderful people who have devoted their time and effort to these beautiful models and feel we should give them respect.

MMD: New Italies by NononoP!Now there's no need to illegally redistribute Nachi Akira's! They might have been around for a while, but I only just caught up with the news. They are extremely detailed and are .pmx models. Unlike Nachi Akira's Romano, :iconnononoP:'s has greenish eyes.
The models are still being updated and have some bugs with the expressions (for example, Veneziano's 'smile' wink doesn't work), but on the whole are very well-made. Their curl expressions are particularly well-done - not only do they have the heart and crumple extressions, the curls can also be repositioned!
You do not need a password to download them, but you must READ THE RULES.

MMD Rules Revised. Please ReadLately there's been confusion over the readme notes on models that come with both an English & Japanese version having different rules/conditions in them.
You're probably thinking it's not fair that the Japanese version has more freedom with editing models than the English one. Then there's this assumption that Japanese modellers are racist. This is not the case. It is merely a misunderstanding and I'll explain it here.
When overseas users break the MMD rules it's hard for the Japanese modellers to handle it because there is a language barrier. It's very difficult for a modeller to talk to the culprit when they both come from a different culture. It's a huge burden for them to go through a language obstacle just to reason with someone who can't speak the same language as them, let alone try to resolve a situation where rules have been violated. On the other hand, when the culprit and modeller are both Japanese, it's easy to resolve because both people are from the same culture so there

Translated readme: Nachi Akira's Romano 2.00As I cannot read Japanese characters, I have got into the habit of feeding models' readmes into to Google Translate. I know that this is far from reliable, but it often gives me a general idea of the rules and sometimes it makes everything clear. Using this principle, I translated the readme for Nachi Akira's new Romano. If you're not allowed to post it, just tell me and I'll take this journel down.
My assumptions are in square brackets. Do not take them as gospel as I they may be completely wrong. If you are unsure about anything, my advice is to try your best to keep to the rule and not do anything concerning it (e.g., if you are unclear about whether the model can be edited into a different character, refrain from doing so).
If anyone can help me with clarifying translation, pointing out mistakes, etc., I'd be very grateful of your assistance! I'd also like to hear your opinions on the how rules translate, so be sure to leave a comment!

I finally got some Hetalia coin figures!

Unfortunately I only have Wave 2, as I'm finding it very hard to track down Wave 1. Their initial price on ebay was okay, but by the time you counted the shipping duties, etc., it was horrendous

! Fortunately my family very kindly helped me to pay for some of it. My Gran fell for them and is on the way to being an eighty-year-old fangirl! XD

So yeah. I'm taking LOADs of photos of them. Because I feel like it, and I'd love to take up figure photography more seriously. I'll upload some onto my Flickr [link], but I need to upgrade it first.
